Now, we’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer — someone who’s eager to take ownership, lead major projects, and help shape the inner workings a platform that drives real-world impact.

You’re an experienced backend developer who thrives in a fast-paced and varied workday. You take a pragmatic approach to development, balancing ideal solutions with real-world constraints. You’re motivated by ownership and autonomy —and curious about the intersection of technology and sustainability.
You’ll be joining a small, tight-knit team where your voice matters, and where your decisions help shape both the product and the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development across our backend stack using Python, Django, and geospatial data
- Take part in system architecture and infrastructure decisions as we scale
- Drive major projects end-to-end, including new integrations and internal model redesigns
- Collaborate closely with design, product, and data to build seamless, performant APIs
- Help define and evolve technical conventions and best practices
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing, and DevOps-related processes

- PostgreSQL + PostGIS (for geospatial operations)
- Docker
- GitHub Actions for CI/CD
- Simple, down-to-earth architecture leaning on usage of Docker and VMs. Deployed on hosted cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure equivalent)
Experience and skills
Must have
- Solid experience with backend development using Django, REST, and SQL
- Strong problem-solving skills and systems thinking
- Ability to work independently and make technical decisions
- Experience leading or owning projects in a team setting
Nice to have
- Familiarity with PostGIS and geospatial datasets
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD tooling
- Passion for sustainability, climate tech, or real estate
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a startup environment
